Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about our services, eligibility, insurance, and the paid family caregiver program.

What types of care do you provide?

We specialize in non-medical home care. Our services include Personal Care Provider (PCP), Homemaker, In-Home Support Services (IHSS), and Relative Care. We do not provide nursing, therapy, or other skilled medical services.

Do you accept Medicaid?

Yes. We are an licensed Colorado Medicaid provider and accept clients enrolled in Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waiver programs including the EBD (Elderly, Blind & Disabled), BI (Brain Injury), CFC.

Do you accept Medicare/Medicare Advantage Plans?

We do not work with Medicare unless your Advantage Plan covers out of network Home Care services. Please verify with your Insurance Provider.

Do you work with Private Insurance?

We work with Longterm Care Insurance. For all other insurances please verify with your Insurance Provider if they cover out of network home care services.

What is the Relative Care or paid family caregiver program?

Eligible family members can become paid caregivers for their loved ones. Call us to find out more about your specific situation.

How do I know if my family member qualifies for services?

Eligibility for Medicaid-funded services requires Colorado residency, financial eligibility for Medicaid and functional eligibility for Longterm Care. Private pay clients can begin services without Medicaid eligibility. Call our intake team — we'll walk you through the process at no charge.

Where do you provide services?

The counties we work are: Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Jefferson and Weld.

How quickly can services begin?

Private pay clients can often begin services within a few days. Medicaid clients require authorization from their case manager before services can begin, which may take additional time. We'll help you navigate the process as efficiently as possible.

Are your caregivers background-checked?

Yes. All Grace Home Care Agency Corp caregivers undergo a thorough background check and must meet all Colorado state requirements before providing care.

I'm a family member already caring for my relative. Can I get paid?

Most likely, yes. If your loved one is enrolled in a Colorado Medicaid HCBS waiver program or CFC you may be eligible to become a paid Relative Care provider. Call us — this is one of our specialties and we can guide you through the eligibility and enrollment process.

What is the difference between Personal Care and Homemaker services?

Personal Care (PCP) involves hands-on physical assistance with personal hygiene and daily living activities — bathing, dressing, grooming, etc. Homemaker services focus on household tasks — cleaning, laundry, cooking, errands. Some clients need both; others need only one. We'll help you determine the right fit.
