Seniors and adults with physical disabilities who need hands-on help with personal care tasks.

A comprehensive support blend for maximum independence.
Home Support Services (HSS) combine personal care and homemaking into a single, flexible service designed for adults with disabilities. HSS is authorized through Colorado's HCBS waiver programs and allows clients to direct the specific tasks their caregiver performs during each visit.
Who This Service Is For
Adults with developmental, physical, or acquired disabilities enrolled in Colorado Medicaid HCBS waiver programs (such as EBD, BI, FSSP, or SLS).

- All Homemaker tasks
- Supports authorized through Medicaid waiver plans

Keep care in the family — and get paid for it.
Did you know that Colorado Medicaid allows certain family members to be paid to care for their loved ones? Through the Consumer Directed Attendant Support Services (CDASS) model and other HCBS waiver options, eligible relatives can become certified paid caregivers.
Who This Service Is For
Colorado Medicaid recipients who wish to have a family member serve as their paid caregiver. The client must be enrolled in an HCBS waiver program, and the relative must be approved through the program.
Funding Sources
What's Included
- Family member becomes an authorized, paid caregiver
- Must be enrolled through a Colorado Medicaid HCBS waiver
- Caregiver must pass background check and training requirements
- Services authorized by the client's Medicaid case manager
- Relatives eligible: parents (of adult children), adult children, siblings, and other approved family members
- Paid at the same rate as agency-employed caregivers
